When Fake Blood Ruins Your Lunch

Ever had one of those days where your fx blood is just way too realistic? I was applying it for a ‘zombie brunch’ event and accidentally splattered it all over my sandwich. I guess it was a bit too authentic for my taste! At least my friend found it hilarious when I tried to explain the flavor profile.

I’ve definitely had my share of messy moments with fake blood. A quick tip is to dilute it a bit with water when you’re applying it to food; it still looks great but is less of a lunch ruiner. Ever thought about using corn syrup for a more manageable texture?

Haha, I can totally relate to that lunch ruiner moment — i’ve found that mixing in a little bit of corn syrup can help with the consistency. It won’t splatter as much and still looks pretty convincing.
