Pulled a cheek appliance at 2 a.m. with platinum-cure silicone, a tiny hit of medical-grade diluent, and a thin cap-plastic encapsulate, and the edges disappeared under a single LED; anyone blending 4K resin-printed texture plates into their molds to push the skin micro-detail? I’m chasing a sweat-proof finish without powder build-up — what sealers are you loving with silicone paints right now?
I ditched powder and do a final Psycho Paint pass cut with NOVOCS Matte (1:1 A/B, 3–4 parts NOVOCS), stippled and flashed — it’s been sweat-proof for me and stays flat under a “single LED”; keep it thin or it clouds, and wipe the cap-plastic with a touch of heptane first for bite. On the 4K plates, 25 µm prints post-cured hot transfer pores cleaner — have you tried NOVOCS Matte yet? https://www.smooth-on.com/products/novocs-matte/.
@j_reed84, are your 4K pore plates closer to “25 µm” or “35 µm” for cheeks? I get a sweat-proof, no-powder finish by priming skin with Mehron Skin Prep Pro under the piece and finishing the silicone paints with a whisper of Bluebird UltraMatte; tiny caveat, it only grabs if there’s alcohol color down.
