Looking for LED-proof skin finish training

Is anyone taking advanced classes on controlled gloss skin for FW shoots? I’m seeing the shift toward lacquered highlights with velvet planes, and I want a course (NYC or online) that drills silicone vs water layering, micro-powder pinning, and airbrush veiling under Aputure 600D/4K playback; Temptu S/B + gel balms are my current combo, but I want to refine.

KETT Studio NYC’s On‑Camera Complexion/4K Skin workshop hits this — silicone vs water layering, micro‑powder pinning, and airbrush veils under LED; details: https://kettcosmetics.com/pages/education. While you wait, run Temptu S/B at 18–20 PSI through a 0.35, then “pin” only the velvet planes with a micronized powder and tap a dimethicone gel on peaks so it reads wet‑not‑sweaty — gel balms can spike under a 600D; are you in NYC next month?

LED specular kickback under a 600D drives me nuts too. Do you have a 4K client monitor handy to check what lifts when you pin micro‑powder over Temptu S/B + gel balms? Temptu Pro’s Advanced Airbrush/4K is solid for S/B vs water layering, and I’d follow it by booking an hour at AbelCine or Adorama to A/B a light water veil and silica through a mesh puff so the “velvet planes” hold under playback (https://www.temptu.com/pro/education).

It’s crucial to consider how lighting angles affect your finish. I’ve found that slightly adjusting your airbrush distance can really make a difference when it comes to that controlled gloss you want for FW shoots. Have you experimented with any other products aside from Temptu? They can definitely shift the way the final look performs under LED lighting.
