Tried a dewy vinyl lid for a 6:45 a.m. test and the second the fan hit, my “editorial sheen” migrated south like it had a call time elsewhere; even mixed the gloss 1:1 with balm and pressed with a 210 liner brush, and we still got cheek gloss. Are we all pretending this trend works on moving sets, or does anyone have a real fix beyond micro-buffing and feather-light load?
I’ve only kept glossy lids on windy sets by anchoring with a whisper of glitter glue–style primer (let it go tacky), then tapping the gloss just center-lid with a fingertip. Add a tiny “dam” at the crease/outer corner with clear brow gel so the slip gets caught before it turns into “cheek gloss”; it buys me maybe 20–30 minutes between resets. Have you tried a glue primer under the mix?
Quick fix that’s held up for me: lock the lid with Colorfix Matte, then press a pin-head of Colorfix Glaze dead center with a silicone spatula — reads vinyl but outlasts wind better than straight gloss. You’ll still need light resets; @sam_kline, have you tried the Glaze swap?
