Exploring alternative materials in SFX makeup

I’ve recently been experimenting with silicone gel instead of the traditional latex for prosthetics, and the results have been mind-blowing. It conforms to the skin so much better and really enhances the detail work. Has anyone else tried switching up their materials? I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences.

I totally agree about silicone gel! It really does enhance detail. Have you tried mixing in pigments for color work? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

Silicone gel has really changed the game for me too! I find the application process smoother and often use it to create more dynamic textures. Have you tried layering it with different finishes?
